Position Summary
The primary function of the Store Manager is to focus on increasing sales volume, closing ratios, margins and manage customer owned inventory levels by developing Retail Management. The Store Manager will develop Sales Managers to focus on customer service, customer education, staff training and motivation, and daily operations. High priority and efforts are expected in the areas of communicating and monitoring Sales Managers’ and Sales Associates' compliance with policies and procedures ensuring that proper training is given to maximize sales performance. Appropriate emphasis should also be placed on recruiting and hiring Retail Associates to meet staffing objectives.
Job Qualifications
Education/Experience – High School Diploma or equivalent; A minimum of three (3) years sales experience. Requires two (2) years of retail store management experience. Previous furniture retail experience preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Ability – Strong leadership skills; proficient in the use of current technologies; detail-oriented, able to execute efficiently, and follow through; ability to organize, multitask, and prioritize effectively; must possess knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within sales; problem solving skills.
